I have always loved the movie Howl's Moving Castle by Hayao Miyazaki, and when I discovered it was based on a book, so obviously I had to read it (duh!). Turned out I loved the book (though I will admit the movie still is number one in my heart). After reading Diana Wynne Jones story, I needed to read more. That is when I discovered Castle in the Air (& sadly it is not related to Castle in the Sky - also by Hayao Miyazaki).

This story is about young merchant boy named Abdullah who purchases a magic carpet that helps him discover the woman of his dreams. However, as soon as he finds her, she is whisked away by djinn. Now he is off to find he his one true love and save her from the djinn. I have read some of the book, but now I am striving to complete it all by the end of this month. Next post will be mid-October.
